If your pump is turning off and on frequently for less than 1-2 mins. You will have a leak on the discharge line. More than likely a toilet. Isolate the toilet at the tap and se if the pump holds pressure. 

If your pump is buzzing or humming. It could possibly be a capacitor or jammed. 

To check disconnect from power, try tuning the back fan on the motor. If free to turn it is the capacitor. We can fix this quick and simply. Bring the pump in and get it inspected. 

If you have air in the basket area of your pool pump, check the following:

Suction (Inlet) oring on barrell union. 

Oring on the lid, If it is flat or miss shaped 

If both have been checked and you still have air, It could possibly be a cracked suction line going to the basket. 

We can wet test the pump and eleminate the pump as the issue if this is happening. 

This will make sure your heading in the right direction for the fix.
